Double Motion
Designed for your most demanding products, this is our most versatile agitation system. It features a true counter-rotating, shaft-in-shaft design with all shafts mounted on the exact same centerline. One shaft controls the scraper agitator that seamlessly wipes the kettle walls, while the inner shaft drives the attached flight bars.
In our standard setup, the inner shaft turns in the opposite direction of the scraper shaft at double the speed. Rather than relying on a single gearbox, each shaft is independently controlled by its own heavy-duty gearmotor, mounted on a one-piece stainless steel “U” channel bridge. With the addition of a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) complete control over shaft direction and speed is achieved—a recommended feature for customizing the mix to your specific product’s needs.
